ABOUT PARISA
Dancing saved my life.
It was my way of coping with sexual violence, struggling with an eating disorder, and constantly feeling disconnected from myself. Dancing is what brings me back into my body.
My experiences as a sex worker, survivor, and trained dancer inform the way my body moves.
I practice self-acceptance the best way I know how—dancing!
I know how it feels to be judged for our past.
That’s why I hold inclusive spaces where all of you is welcome.

EDUCATOR
I hold a Master’s degree in Chicanx Feminism, and Bachelor’s degree in Education and Spanish. I have 14 years of professional experience, working with ages expanding from toddlers to adult learners.
I currently work with young children (infants-elementary) within nature-based, child-emergent frameworks. I also teach classical Persian dance to young children in the Minneapolis, MN area!
DANCER
I completed formal training in classical Persian dance under the mentorship of Geeti Shirazi Mahajan. My personal dance technique is also heavily influenced by my experiences as a stripper and sex worker, as well as childhood obsessions with artists such as Shakira and the Spice Girls.
I share my lifelong, healing relationship with dance and combine these forms of movement in my classes & workshops, guiding you to activate and trust your own intuitive choreo.
HEALER
Since 2018 I have provided hundreds of readings, specializing in ancestral connections and energy clearing/healing. In 2021, I was initiated in the spiritual practice of espiritismo under the mentorship of elder Betty Vargas.
My spiritual practice informs my work by providing intuitive healing techniques to assist in the process of transmuting stored emotions.
